Our new logo is inspired by the hoopoe (Upupa epops), known locally in Catalan as the puput.
The hoopoe is a familiar inhabitant of Mediterranean landscapes. Its distinctive appearance and association with open woodlands, agricultural mosaics, and cultural landscapes make it a fitting symbol for PyroMED.
PyroMED explores the relationships between fire, forests, landscapes, and people. The puput represents this Mediterranean identity and the interconnected landscapes that shape our work.
